In the photos below 360 degrees you can feel the environment in the real scenario during the filming of Bed & Breakfast that took place in the region of Catete, in Rio de Janeiro, during the Easter holiday.

Juliana Paes, super friendly as ever, bestowed smiles on everyone and posed for pictures before filming.

360 degree panoramic view of the Maracana - Globonews: 360 º Panorama Immersive photo

20 Comments | This entry was posted on Feb 07 2010

Since many people have been asking me to write more, and telling details about the photos on my photographic experiences, and various adventures, here's the story of the job.

Early in this year I was contacted by the Department. Globonews of Art.
The purpose of the contact picture was budgeting a perfect 360 degrees, which was made exactly the center of the field and that would be used in the composition of a virtual scenery for a new program on the World Cup.
The picture had to spend the feeling that the reporter was there in the middle of the field, turning around.

I loved the idea, because once again pioneering accomplish something in Brazil.
In the Brazilian TV had never been used technology to create immersive panoramas of a virtual course like this and I was very honored to be the first to produce something.

Introduced to estimate the investment and then I was just waiting for accepting return.
Days later I was approached by the production of Globonews that would take care of permits to enter the middle of the lawn.
I explained a few details and suggested that he was sure would help the picture stayed the most beautiful and perfect as possible.

Click here or on photo below to see the Maracana, and the middle of the lawn

On 25/janeiro, a Monday, early in the morning we went to the Maracana. None of the Customer, production, art, the Board finally went with one of Globonews. They said that surely I would know better than anyone what to do and why they hired me. I like it.

When he arrived, after some red tape to finally get on the field, photographed during two hours following all the plans that I drew with my wife, who is also my partner and assistant. In addition to Santa, of course. hehehe. The sun was as hot and forgot to bring the sunscreen, the way it was to be melting. Rolls never understood why football game this time hehehe.

I took two cameras, Nikon of course, several lenses, to be exact 10 different lenses, because I intended to do with different views to ensure that the result was in my head. We also several tripods and some rattletrap I even designed and built, which allowed me to make special angles.

And I took the occasion and took my two sons to help in this picture 360 degrees, it is not every day that someone steps in the center of the lawn of the largest football stadium in the world. Well, I do not know if the Maracana is still the largest in the world, but at least it should be the most famous.

We left there and was running to handle the images and "build" a pan, after all, I needed to deliver the next morning, as I was leaving soon with his family to return to Saquarema where we would spend the week with surfing lessons. And otherwise, you can not escape the truth, the place is wonderful, the beach is beautiful, the sea is delightful, the water is crystal clear, transparent total.

Horasss were followed over the files. I have gotten panoramic 360 degrees, about 2 GB each. 16-bit files, running smooth on my MacBook Pro, even with Leopard installed, since lack of time to install Snow
